Job Description

Corporate Relations Account Manager

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the world’s largest organization

of food and nutrition professionals, is seeking a motivated individual to join

our dynamic Corporate Relations Team as a Corporate Relations

Account Manager in our Chicago, IL office.  This position

will engage in sales outreach efforts and client services for both existing

clients and new business opportunities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Proactive corporate relations sales outreach to secure non-dues revenue.
  • Organize a strong sales pipeline, lead generation and the identification of qualified prospects.
  • Manage and maintain a current CRM database and remain accountable for timely and accurate sales and status reports.
  • Coordinate and support the fulfillment of meeting and program deliverables, including implementation, execution, onsite management and post-meeting/program reports and communications.
  • Assist in the development of the annual business development plan for Corporate Relations.
  • Update outreach communications for the web, email, PowerPoint or print.
Job Requirements

Background Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or communications is required, along with 3-4 plus years related work experience.
  • Prior experience in account management; sponsorship development and sales; and client services. Experience in the food and nutrition or CPG industries a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully cultivating and managing client/account relationships.
  • Highly organized, results-oriented professional.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Must have a positive attitude and passion for sales and client service.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
