Job Description

A private label packaging manufacturing facility has a very exciting career opportunity available for a highly organized Customer Service Representative. We are a well-established, rapidly growing, leader in Private label Hot beverage. We are located near Grand Rapids, MI and are seeking to hire a full-time Customer Service Representative. This position would be responsible for overseeing customer communication, ordering process, scheduling and invoice processing, as well as maintaining a professional and positive attitude at all times and the ability to overcome customer objectives by solving problems, offering solutions, and providing alternatives.


We are currently looking for a dedicated individual with excellent customer service skills and proven customer service experience to join our team of highly ethical customer-oriented professionals. Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers, management, and customers in a courteous and professional manner to provide the highest level of customer service and to ensure customers are completely satisfied so that their experience is as pleasant as possible. This is a full time position with full benefits.

Other duties may include:

  • Coordinate and perform the customer communication process, including telephone contact, EDI contact and customer database maintenance.
  • Coordinate the customer release and ordering process, including but not limited to electronic, fax and mail.
  • Coordinate the outside vendor process in conjunction with the purchasing, shipping/receiving and quality teams to meet customer delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate and perform the customer billing process, including verification and original invoice, credit and debit memos, and problem resolution.
  • Willingness to always promote the continuous improvement procedures.
  • Ability to comply with applicable policy and procedures.
Job Requirements

Highly qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years prior essential duty related experience in manufacturing
  • Specific knowledge of customer service and production control procedures, including planning and scheduling
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Basic Windows and MS Office skills
  • Experience with electronic ERP systems desired but not necessary
  • Training topics listed in the training matrix
  • 1-2 years specific customer service experience
