Job Description
The Distributor Account Executive is the link between our manufacturers, distributors, and Presence Marketing/Dynamic Presence.   This is a dynamic position requiring the ability to focus on ongoing goals, objectives and management of the details associated with day to day retail sales overall and business development for our distributors.  The Distributor Account Executive is responsible for maintaining existing business as well as generating new business opportunities for our manufacturer partners within their defined regional territory.
  
POSITION DETAIL

  • Liaison between manufacturers represented and the following distributors, but not limited to; DPI Mid Atlantic, C&S Wholesale, Bozzuto, Albert Organic, Associated Buyers, First Source, and SuperValu.
  • Regular meetings with Vendor Managers within each distributor.
  • Maintain relationships with key personnel at all distributors.
  • Creative promotional planning with our manufacturers and distributors.
  • Problem solving/solution finding for manufacturers and distributors when necessary. 
  • Responsible for all distributor submissions; including, but not limited to new items, promotions, new manufacturer setup, etc.
  • Maintain relationships with manufacturers and accompany them to all distributor meetings as necessary. 
  • Communicate results from all distributor meetings and/or dialog with Vendor Managers to the appropriate sales teams regarding issues. 
  • Creatively and analytically review manufacturers’ business with distributors (programs, etc.).
  • Ensure the division is meeting or exceeding company and departmental protocol (Database/SharePoint).
  • Attend regional distributor trade show tabletops. 
  • Meet or exceed all departmental deadlines.
  • Attend new brand interviews/brand reviews as necessary.
  • Complete additional projects as directed by supervisor.
  • Safe driving is an essential function of this position

  • Merchandising/schematic skills a plus
  • Knowledge of natural products/brands and retail landscape necessary
  • Current relationships with chains and distributors helpful
  • Extensive outside sales experience preferred 5+ years
  • Proof of sales performance, accomplishments and awards from previous work experience helpful
  • Good closing and great customer service skills
  • Valid driver’s license – good driving record
  • Ability to travel (approximately 25%+)
  • Ability to work intermittent nights and weekends
  • Previous experience in the Natural Food/Nutrition Industry preferred
  • College Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred or extensive prior experience
  • Ability to lift 35lbs
  • Clean driving record, reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and valid/current insurance is required

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Outside sales position which will require visits to account calls as well as a working from a home office.
