Regional Sales & Marketing Manager position with leading natural foods company.

Location 

New York City Metro based but travel and sales in throughout the Eastern region and some in the Midwest.

Job Description:

Bright People Foods is seeking an experienced NY Metro based eastern regional key account manager to join our growing team. We are looking individuals with key account sales experience in the natural products or specialty consumer packaged goods industry.

What You Will Do:

As the Regional Sales & Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for calling on regional distributors, independent and chain grocery accounts, food service and corporate accounts and for marketing events such as trade shows for natural and speciality food products and food service. We are looking for candidates with a positive can-do attitude, a love of food and food marketing, a solid work ethic, and a keen appreciation for the high energy and integrity of the natural products industry.  This is a great position for a person who knows the NY Metro market and how to build it who is also looking to expand beyond a solely NY City market role and develop broad based account management, budgeting and marketing skills.

In the NY Metro area the respnsiblities include developing relationships with key account personnel and increasing store presense to drive incremental volume. Identify and act on opporutnties to improve positioning and insure tags are up at retail and develop and implement approved promotional plans with buyers. 

This position has a strong focus on NY Metro accounts but also involves key regional accounts and trade shows throughout the East and occasionally the Midwest for consumer packaged goods and also food service opportunities. Account management for such NY Metro based regional accounts as Whole Foods NE, Fairway, Kings, Westerly,  Food Town, Food Emporium, Food Bazaar, Abraham Naturals,Vistar, and Nassau Candy  as well as such Non-NY City regional retailers as Earthfare, Ingles, Farm Fresh, Moms Organic Markets, NCGA,  Market Basket, and Safeway Eastern.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Calling on existing and new distributor and retail accounts to secure placement in prime locations

  • Trade show marketing and followup

  • Development of Sales Planners and Presentations

  • Strong PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel Skills

  • Ability to work with and food broker and distributor account managers to achieve goals

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic

  • Capable of managing time and meeting deadlines

  • Dependable and committed to doing what it takes to get the job done
