Job Description

At &samhoud food we are on a mission to inspire people to eat more vegetables. Therefore, we make it easier and more attractive to choose responsibly, with delicious and ­surprising vegetable-based food products, made by 2 Michelin star Chef Moshik Roth.

We produce innovative and distinct plant-based meat alternatives for retail, food services and restaurant chains. Our products are clean label and non-GMO, containing only natural coloring, taste and preservation.

Founded in the Netherlands, &samhoud food has grown rapidly in the European market over the recent years. To help us expand and grow in the US market, we are looking for an experienced, talented and passionate key account manager.

This is a great opportunity to grow and shape &samhoud food USA. You will be responsible for strategizing, executing and overseeing development and implementation of our food services and retail sales strategy, and broker/ distributors strategy. You will work closely with our CEO, with great support from our Netherlands office.  

 

Job Responsibilities (included, not-limited)

  • Shape the sales strategy for the US market, together with the CEO, to include focus markets, new accounts, distribution strategies, pricing and local marketing
  • Lead the execution of the sales strategy and grow sales volume
  • Lead development of new accounts and negotiate agreements
  • Drive business development when setting-up new agreements, and liaise with operations and logistics to ensure reliable, accurate and on-time delivery to (new) accounts  
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development to ensure brand consistency
  • Maintain and build relationships with key and new accounts and drive maximum customer satisfaction
  • Build and manage network of brokers and distributors
  • Provide client price quotes, purchase order confirmations and process sales orders.
  • Build and manage sales team (optional)
Job Requirements

You have a strong passion for our mission to drive sustainability in the food industry

  • You are totally excited to play an early and key role in scaling a successful company in the US market
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business or related field
  • 5-10 years working experience in food CPG sales, with proven success, in retail and/or food services, through direct/ broker/ and/or distributor channels
  • Experience in developing sales and distribution strategies
  • Has an existing network in these channels
  • Entrepreneurial spirit. A strategic thinker with a bias towards action. A ‘smart doer’ and self-starter
  • An ambitious, fun, positive and collaborative mind, that is great at building relationships, eager to make things happen, result-oriented and a strong customer focus
  • Leadership, negotiation, analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to travel
