Job Description

The NorCal Sales Rep is expected to achieve budgeted volumes and gross margins by protecting and growing volume through existing accounts and; by applying competitive pressure via promotion, merchandising, and sales skills, achieve exposure and market share gains through increased account numbers. 


  • Key Account Management
    • Negotiate terms and conditions, within limits of delegated authority
    • Present new products as required, achieve catalog listings as required. 
    • Evolve where necessary and advantageous a promotion program, spending within limits of delegated authority 
  • Taste & Demonstration programs
    • Prepare an annual program and budget for instore specials (or product allowance)
    • Reporting /analysis of each event. 
  • In Store Merchandising:
    • Create and present a merchandising objective program. i.e. planogram objectives, new P.O.S materials, changeover programs, etc. 
    • Ensure a full range of P.O.S material is available at each retail call.
    • Agree and implement an “in store” special budget  
    • Inventory Management
    • Control inventory
    • Create inventory management system
    • Create forecasting and ordering system
    • Ensure wastage comes in below budget 
  • Overhead Management
    • Ensure travel, phone, and associated costs are managed within budget
    • Manage day to day relationship with processing partners
    • Create and manage price lists
    • Purchase price review process with operations team
    • Retail price list update process
    • Wholesale price list update process
