Job Description

Coolhaus, handmade unique ice cream with an architectural twist, is seeking a Sales Associate to join their growing team based in Los Angeles, CA.

The Sales Manager will work under the supervision of the VP of Sales managing the Wholesale department on day-to-day Sales and Business tasks related to Coolhaus Ice cream.

Specific Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Management of current active accounts to ensure success. 
  • Manage sell-in and marketing activations to ensure product sell through and re-orders.
  • Identify under-performing accounts/SKUs and assist the VP of Sales to resolve the issues.
  • Outreach and management of all potential national, regional and local accounts: grocery and foodservice
  • Leverage existing relationships with distributors and accounts to drive new placements
  • Identify and communicate issues and opportunities to the appropriate personnel
  • Assist with the management of brokers and accountability
  • Assist with the submission of promotions and execution
  • Maintain the wholesale database up to date, including Salesforce
  • Provide summary reports of performance in key accounts/distributors. Experience with Nielsens/IRI syndicated data
  • Create and develop formal presentations for retailers. Develop informational docs. Update and maintain Sales kits
  • Attend trade shows and networking events to support the company and increase brand awareness.
Job Requirements
  • 2+ years experience working with and managing accounts and distributors for food/beverage
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to ensure clear and concise communication with management, co-workers and vendors/distributors;
  • Must work well in both a team environment and independently, plus possess an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent verbal and written communication to effectively introduce the brand to prospective clients
  • Must be reliable, responsible, high energy, outgoing and passionate.
  • Reside in the greater LA area as you will be based in our Culver City office
  • Must be willing to travel

about Coolhaus

Coolhaus co-founders Natasha Case and Freya Estreller started baking cookies, making ice cream, and combining them into “cool houses” in 2008. With mutual backgrounds in the design and real estate fields, they began naming their ice cream sandwiches after architects and architectural movements that inspired them – and eventually decided to take their newfound passion (dubbed “Farchitecture,” or Food + Architecture) to their hometown streets in Los Angeles. So after a few days on Craigslist (and sometimes convincing their families they weren’t crazy), they found and bought a beat-up old postal van, trekked out to the world-famous Coachella Valley Music Festival in April 2009 to make their debut, and, well…the rest is history.

Now, Coolhaus operates a national fleet of 10 mobile ice cream trucks and carts (4 in LA, 4 in Dallas and 2 in NYC). The trucks can be seen vending throughout each city and at large public events, blowing guests away at privately catered parties, and giving away treats as part of unique consumer giveaways and brand activations. Fans can also visit Coolhaus at its two Southern California-based storefronts in Culver City and Pasadena, or pick up a pre-packaged ice cream sandwich, pint of ice cream, or hand-dipped ice cream bar at one of 5,000+ markets ranging from Whole Foods to Safeway-Albertsons, in all 50 states.
