Job Description

BOU Brands is seeking an innovative and ROI driven full-time New York Sales Manager with a passion for sales, marketing, and customer service. The ideal candidate must have the ability to implement and execute business strategies developed by the company’s executive team. The Sales Manager will be responsible for the day to day sales activities of the company, must understand start-up culture, be passionate about food, health & wellness and building a brand from the ground up. They are the manager of the Tri-state area market, with a focus on sales growth of their account list. Please note: The Sales Manager does not have any responsibility for the management of a team yet.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain an organized list of key accounts in designated territory
  • Manage existing customers and distributors and help grow presence in natural and conventional grocery channels
  • Help develop and implement sales and marketing plans in accordance to allotted budget
  • Must be familiar with chain direct and DSD distribution models
  • Participate and manage in-store audits, route rides, management/category reviews, and analysis
  • Help manage broker relationships
  • Research all potential retail partners and create all necessary sales presentations specific to each major retailer
  • Create effective retailer strategies that include in-store marketing and promotional initiatives
  • Contribute to category, new product development (NPD) and market research initiatives
  • Analyze and report product margins, sales volumes, category trends, etc. to provide valuable insight to help BOU
Job Requirements
  • BA in Finance, Marketing or equivalent preferred
  • The ideal candidate has at least 1, to at most 5 years of CPG sales & marketing experience. Please note: this is a junior-level sales role with a focus on market representation only.  
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills (both written & oral)
  • Creative presentation/public speaking and premium selling skills are a must
  • Innovative and creative in approaching accounts and expanding business
  • Able to formulate account strategies and execute against them
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Professional demeanor in working with co-workers, distributors, retail reps and consumers Sales or Marketing experience a plus
  • Must have valid driver's license and own vehicle to travel and transport promotional merchandise 
  • Must be able to use basic features in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
